European Culture Cluster project "Youth and Creativity"

Our friend, Emile Varbanov (Bulgarian National Cultural Fund) is glad to announce the success of a cultural project with partners from four different European countries.

The project European Culture Cluster "Youth and Creativity" involved young people between the ages of sixteen to nineteen years old from four countries: Bulgaria, France, Hungary, and Poland to become friends. For ten days (10 - 20 July 2009)  "Hristo Botev" school, Ivaylovgrad,  hosted forty youths from western and central Europe. After the "Night of Nations" the young people made souvenirs from the most South-Eastern country of the European Union in three thematic workshops: archeology, ethnography, and nature. The project  culminated in a "Forum" where the directors of the cultural partner institutions were invited to be viewers. They were asked to act as mediators between the other twenty-three member countries of the EU to spread the initiative "My Favorite Book," which has the ambition to grow into the donation fund of "Hristo Botev" school "My European Library." The highlights of the works are collected in the brochure: "Future with United European Roots- Regions of Knowledge About Europe" and the project variant "European Youth Culture Calendar" until 2013. Participants in the regional parliament session could order this calendar to be included in the forthcoming agreement of fraternization between the municipalities of Ivaylovgrad and Longueau, in September of 2009. Participants were given honorary certificates "European Culture Ambassador of Youth Cooperation."
